Official Checks Out ELO Program Success

The Experiential Learning Opportunity (ELO) Office in the College of Business and Public Affairs (COBPA) received a special visit from an official from the Office of the Governor on Monday, March 20.   

Stacia Robinson, director of the Alabama Office of Minority Affairs, visited the ELO Office to witness the successful internship program between COBPA students and Business Strategies & Solutions and Boss Kidz Inc., both owned by Vanessa Hardiman.  Hardiman has partnered with the ELO Program in placing interns with virtual experiential learning opportunities with her organization since 2021. 

"She has done a phenomenal job mentoring and providing professional development with COBPA learners," commented Sonya S. Merritt, coordinator for the ELO Program at AAMU.  "Ms. Hardiman has been in communication with the Alabama Office of Minority Affairs in the Governor's Office, regarding her business and has applauded her involveent with the ELO Program 

Robinson was eager to visit the AAMU College of Business and Public Affairs students that have served as an intern with Ms. Hardiman.
